Data Import + Review

Import Vocab

File Processing: Import document to software, extracts text, information and meta data. Normalizes data.

DE-NIST: Separates system files from files that were created by a user.

De-Duplication: The process of comparing the chrematistics of documents to identify/remove duplicate records. Helps prevent the review of the same files that may have been from different custodians. Saves client billable hours. 

Document Imaging: Making a picture copy of a document. (tiff, jpg, pdf format) first shown visually in app while doing document review.

OCR: Optical Character Recognition; the process of converting images of printed pages into electronic text. Allows you to search for keywords through imaged documents.

Culling: Narrows a larger data set to a smaller one for the purpose of review based on the objective.
