Vol II Ch. 2

  1. Still in the mountains but Victor is starting to feel a little better!

  2. There’s a downpour one morning but Victor decides to go up to the mountain anyway, he just talks about the dangerous, bleak scenery while climbing.

  3. He’s at the peak and feels the most happy he’s felt in a while, which isn’t allowed for his character this far into the story

  4. He sees a man quickly approaching him with anguish and bitterness, he quickly realizes it’s the creature.

  5. Victor yells at him to leave or fight, calling him a wretched demon. But the creature yells back.

    1. The Creature speaks of how he was good was he became conscious. But it was Victor and mankind's cruelty to him that made him wretched. He pleads with Victor to show him a sliver of compassion that he is owed by his creator. Imploring him to listen to his story and obey his request or else he will be a scourge to Victor and his family.

    2. Victor attempts to lunge at him. Yelling that he will not listen and to go away. But the creature dodges easily, saying he will not hurt his own creator but Victor must listen to him.

    3. Victor begrudgingly follows him to his cabin, silently admitting he surely owes at least this much. The creature lights and fire and begins his story.
