exceptions:

être → étant

avoir → ayant

savoir → sachant

Fonction:

• ersetzt einen Relativsatz:

p.ex.: Les étudiants révisant leur cours sont dans la bibliothèque (= qui révisent); unveränderlich

• ersetzt einen Kausalsatz; unveränderlich

• wird wie ein Adjektiv benutzt:

p.ex.: Cette femme intrigante a disparu (= elle était intrigante); veränderlich
