thoroughly detailed in terms of addressing all elements in the
assignment instructions; the topicality of the research area is
readily apparent

selected sources that are highly germane to the student’s
proposed research focus
each annotation is succinct, yet meticulous, in identifying the
subject matter, theoretical orientation and methodological
approach (if applicable) of the source
annotations capture the crux of the main arguments/findings,
provide an evaluative component and clearly indicate the
relevance of each source to the research paper topic
paper offers exemplary writing; it is error-free (in terms of
proofreading, grammar, sentence structure/phrasing and
citation), and a model of clarity (in terms of organization); the
work meets all assignment requirements (word count, number of
citations, format, proper use of APA, etc.)
The proposal will be accompanied by an annotated bibliography—a carefully chosen list of pertinent published works closely related to the proposed topic—that offers a succinct description of each source. The annotated bibliography must contain a minimum of eight scholarly sources derived from peer-reviewed books, journals, refereed conference proceedings, etc. Each annotation (listed in alphabetical order with a full citation as per APA 7thedition guidelines) must be 150-200 words and will: (i) describe the subject matter of the source; (ii)summarize the theoretical/conceptual framework and/or method (or both, if applicable) that informs the work; (iii) concisely recount the main arguments/findings; (iv) briefly discuss its relevance to the students’ research
