A variation of Staphylococcus aureus that has evolved to survive treatment from specific antibiotics like penicillin and methicillin.
Types of Nosocomial Infections
Most Common: Staphylococcus aureus.
Other Common Pathogens: Escherichia coli, Enterococci, Candida.
