Mr birling

a Capitalist character who has little regard and respect for others.

Expose the rotten heat of capitalism, and the lack of value it places on those in need.

The first quote he uses to show this idea is ‘a man has to make his own way - has to look after himself.’

This quote tells us that he prioritises personal success and cares little for the people around him only doing things for his own benefit - Presley  does this to make us dislike him and to feel hatred from him as he is very selfish.

My final quote for this statement is ‘you’re just the kind of son-in-law I always wanted’

by saying this mr Birling looked down apron on Eric and doesn’t appreciate his own born but will appreciate money band class more - By using this quote Presley makes mr Birling seem like a bad father and the sort of father that wont help his children if their isn’t anything he wont get out of it.

Summary a capitalist character who doesn’t value  anyone else but himself and how he is only interested in making money.
