A Christmas Carol Flashcards
(Verse 1)
Yo, listen up, I’m about to drop
Ebenezer Scrooge, he just wouldn’t stop,
"Bah! Humbug!" he would shout,
Hating Christmas, that was no doubt.
Squeezing coins, clutching tight,
A lonely oyster, lost in the night.
"Are there no prisons? Are there no workhouses?"
His heart was frozen, like winter’s cold houses.
(Chorus)
But then came the ghosts, guiding his way,
"I will honour Christmas!" he finally did say,
From cold and selfish to joy and cheer,
Scrooge changed his ways, he conquered his fear!
(Verse 2)
"I’m as light as a feather, as merry as can be!"
With Fred by his side, he was finally free.
"Tiny Tim, God bless us everyone!"
Showing love and kindness, that’s how it’s done.
"Mankind was my business!" Marley did say,
Leading Scrooge to a brighter day.
(Chorus)
But then came the ghosts, guiding his way,
"I will honour Christmas!" he finally did say,
From cold and selfish to joy and cheer,
Scrooge changed his ways, he conquered his fear!
(Outro)
So remember this tale, it’s a lesson for all,
Sharing love and kindness will never let you fall!
From shadows of greed, find the light above,
A Christmas Carol teaches the power of love!
