The Decision-Making Process

Step 1: The Situation

Stop and analyze the situation without acting on haste or impulse. Write down the specific problem to be solved, such as choosing whether to take a part-time job or focus on school, along with personal priorities to understand the decision's overall importance.

Step 2: Think

Research and gather information to make an informed choice. Seek advice from trusted individuals, consult reliable websites, or speak with career counsellors to improve the likelihood of making the right decision.

Step 3: The Decision

Evaluate all options and alternatives based on research. Consider the potential consequences of each decision to determine which alternative is best suited for the situation.

Step 4: Evaluate the Decision

Assess the decision after executing the plan and receiving feedback. Rate the decision and the steps taken, evaluate whether core priorities are still met, and identify lessons learned to strengthen decision-making skills or re-evaluate choices if needed.
