Flu vs Common Cold

  • Spread of symptoms

    • Flu is systemic whereas common cold is localised

  • Symptomatic differences

    • Fever is quite common with the flu

    • Fatigue is more common with the flu

    • Diarrhea sometimes present for flu

  • Onset of symptoms

    • Gradual onset for common cold

    • Rapid onset for flu

  • Covid Symptoms

    • First symptom usually a fever

    • Loss of taste/smell usually present

    • Dry cough is common
