• Explain procedure to pt

• For pts who cannot get out of bed or post op who are on limited activity

• Pure wick for female who cannot move, used more than indwelling catheters

• Check pt every 2 hours

• Need to help clean

• Watch skin integrity

• Only lift 35lbs per person

• Condom catheter

  • If pt can take off themselves let them

• Clean area
