Vol II Ch. 4

  1. The creature continues to watch the family secretly while staying under the home I believe

    1. He wants to be with them but is anxious about it

  2. He notices the two younger members cry occasionally and has no clue why until later

    1. One reason being that they’re poor and in the winter, having to grow their own food.

    2. The creature decides to stop eating their food and forages for berries instead when he can

    3. He also sees that they spend a large amount of time collecting firewood, so he goes and gathers some for them. Leaving it on their doorstep.

  3. He begins learning language by listening to them speak inside

    1. As spring starts to come, he becomes eager to learn to speak as maybe then he can introduce himself.
