How to make histograms:

  1. Choose equal interval width (0-5, 5-10)

  2. Count frequency for each width

  3. Draw, label and scale axis

  4. Draw bars without spaces (touch closely)

    1. intervals include the first value but not the last (0-5 includes numbers 0,1,2,3,4)

Describe Histograms

  1. Shape (skewness or symmetry)

  2. Center (typically middle value)

  3. Variability (spread)

  4. Outliers (unusually high or low values)

    1. When comparing use percent instead of frequency
