Visual Merchandising

  • Category Balance - I feel as if there are too many basics that don’t really push me to buy… it might be a taste thing.

  • I also think the placement of the items are messy. One noticeable order is the bag’s on the floor, it’ll most likely be the last thing I’d see and I don’t think it’s optimal

  • Signages - too many at once, it feels redundant

Visual merchandising - use design psychology

  • Retail Storytelling + Sales Psychology

  • Why it matters

    • 70% of purchase decisions happen in-store

    • increases dwell time

    • elevates brand perception

    • drives impulse purchases

Your VM should answer: What should the customer FEEL at every step?

  • There’s no branding to it

    • Poor color palette

Lighting

  • Highlight products, set the tone, etc.

  • It’s like the makeup

2 tyoes:

  • Accent lighting

  • Ambient lighting

Mannequins & Props

  • too static and doesn’t tell a story

  • I would reposition the manequins

  • use prymaid rule
