Safari Club International Record Book Entry Rules

Only regular SCI members may enter trophies.
Trophies taken prior to membership are eligible upon joining.
Entrant must be a regular member at the time of entry.
Trophies must be measured by SCI official measurers using the SCI system and meet minimum standards.

Alternative Weapons (e.g., handgun, bow): Identified as such, may be ranked separately, but subject to same minimum scores as rifle-taken trophies.
Award Pickups (found/purchased trophies): Identified as such, may be ranked separately, subject to same minimum scores.

Submit entries to Safari Club International with correct fees.
Record Book deadline: July $1$ st prior to publication.
Medallion Awards can be entered anytime, provided already submitted for Record Book.
Each trophy requires a separate entry form.

Trophies can be measured immediately; no drying-out period.
Top $10$ entries must be certified at least $60$ days post-kill.
Non-Skull Measurements: Use steel cable or flexible $1/4$ inch steel tape. Record in inches to nearest $1/8$ th inch.
- >= 1/2way between $1/8$ ths: round up.
- < 1/2way between $1/8$ ths: round down.
- Fractions recorded as $1/8, 2/8$ , etc.
Skull Measurements: Use calipers or carpenter's squares. Record in inches to nearest $1/16$ th inch.
- >= 1/2way between $1/16$ ths: round up.
- < 1/2way between $1/16$ ths: round down.
- Fractions recorded as $1/16, 2/16$ , etc.
Damaged Trophies: Not accepted if damage increased measurement. Only present material measured; no estimation for missing parts.
Repaired & Split Skulls: Require Committee approval, detailed notes on form, and photographs to ensure original dimensions are not exceeded and all parts are from the same animal.
