Armenian Evidence (UN)

• killing of Armenian lleadeers
• killing of able bodied men at deportation
• deportation of Turkish Armenians to Syria
• attacking, raping, murdering, at exile
• death marches- women, children
• gas chambers- fire in caves→ smoke

• mostly killed 1915-16
• 2-2.5mil Armeniens in Ottoman Empire   * 1-1.5mil killed
• US senate and house movements to recognize genocide
• Deir Zor desert- site of mass killing   * bones still found
• Hitler inspired by Armenian genocide
• Turkey completely denies genocide   * not taught in school   * “insult to nation”
• US wants Turkey oil- doesn’t address genocide
