Overview of Continuous Verb Tenses
There are 12 verb tenses in English.

Present Continuous
Definition: Used for actions happening right now.
Examples:
"It is raining now."
"I am running in the park."
"We are building a house."
Structure: Consists of the "be" verb + "ing" form of the main verb.
Characteristics:
Action started in the past.
Action may continue into the future.
Describes what is happening at the present moment.
Past Continuous
Definition: Describes actions that were happening at a specific moment in the past.
Examples:
"It was raining at 4:00 p.m."
"I was running in the park at sunrise."
"We were building a house in 2019."
Usage:
Indicates ongoing actions in the past.
Can express habits (e.g., "My friends were always fighting").
Future Continuous
Definition: Describes actions that will be happening at a specific moment in the future.
Examples:
"It will be raining when I arrive."
"I will be running at 2 p.m."
"We will be building as soon as we save money."
"I will be enjoying the beach next week."
Characteristics:
Indicates that an action will be happening in the future at a specific moment.
Quick Review
Past Continuous examples:
