Rosters, visibility, and grading

• Instructor has limited contact with Kendall Hunt; visibility depends on roster access.

• CCSU roster shows all students; Kendall Hunt roster may not.

• If rosters aren’t fully visible, grading tracking can be affected; questions about this are acknowledged.

Problem-solving expectations (without tools)

• Some problems should be solvable without using the supplied tool.

• If you can do it, do it; this does not require multiplying large numbers unnecessarily.

Divisibility by five (quick rule)

• If a number ends in 0 or 5, it is divisible by 5.

• Example: $345 ÷ 5 = 69$

• There is a method that will always work for solving problems, even if it’s not the shortest.

• There may be shorter methods, but this universal method guarantees a correct result.
