Triangles Theorums

Theorems:

  •  Base angle: if the sides of a triangle are congruent, then the angles opposite them are also congruent

  • Converse base: if angles of a triangle are congruent, then sides opposite are also congruent

  • Triangle sum theory: sum of interior angles of a triangle is 180*

    • The sum of the exterior angles of a triangle is always 360°

  • Remote interior angles of a triangle: angles interior of a triangle that don't share a vertex with the given exterior angle

    • The measure of an exterior angle of a triangle is equal to the sum of the two remote interior angles.

  • Exterior angle: measure of an exterior angle of a triangle is equal to sum of 2 remote interior angles,

  • Exterior Angle of inequality theorem: measure of any exterior angle is greater than either of the remote interior angles.

  • Triangle inequality theorem: sum of 2 smallest sides of a triangle is always greater than the other side, if false then it’s not a triangle
