globalization is a big term in this unit

• globaization is the modern way of colonialization?

inequality - going back to first, second thrid world countries

• findign what sorts of inequailty exist - access to resources & what development looks like in countries that hv political inequality (lack of women in parliament)

happiness - the more money you hv, the more happy you are

• need to start considering what we hv - happiness in Western nations in aligned with concumserism (more we consume the more happy we will be)

• obvs false cuz happy countries are countries that hv better policies in favour of ppl (low prison popilation, good maternity policies etc)

when countries prioriize human development & progress over enviornment, there is an imbalance??

• chasing the dollar mentality
