Comprehensive Electrical Punch List Status and Engineering Notes

Punch List Overview and Administrative Updates

  • The active punch list was systematically reduced from 6464 total line items down to 3434 remaining open items following the removal of all completed work.
  • The entire list has been renumbered to create a clear, updated sequence of numerical reference points for ongoing tracking.
  • The primary operational objective is to categorize each remaining item by its current completion status, identify missing information or required materials, and clear all outstanding items from the job site.

Line Items 1 to 5: Roof, Exterior Signage, and Device Identification

  • Line Item 1 (Roof and RQs Equipment Labels): Equipment labels on the RQs on the roof remain incomplete. Labeling work is scheduled to be performed directly on the roof.
  • Line Item 2 (VCC Signs): Incomplete. Work is currently held up while awaiting signage delivery from VCC.
  • Line Item 3 (Roof Penetrations): Incomplete. Waiting on VCC to provide verified location points to punch holes through to the roof.
  • Line Item 4 (4th Floor Electrical Room & Exterior Signage Punch Out): Punch out of exterior signage is pending final signage plan approval and confirmation of the roof route. Line items 1 through 4 are interdependent; progress is halted until VCC provides verified sign locations and required operating voltage.
  • Line Item 5 (Device Identification): Requires confirmation of the exact general-use device specification needed (wording on item description is being re-checked for accuracy).

Line Items 6 to 10: Interior Finishes, FACP Power, and Lighting

  • Line Item 6 (1st Floor Lobby Paint & Lighting): First-floor lobby painting appears finished, but verification with Neil is required to ensure no additional paint coats are needed prior to light fixture installation on the 1st and 2nd floors.
  • Line Item 7 (Igniters): Completed and officially removed from the punch list. Confirmed that the igniter units are battery-operated.
  • Line Item 8 (1st and 2nd Floor Light Fixtures): Linked directly to Line Item 6. Fixture installation across the 1st and 2nd floors will proceed once painting completion is formally verified.
  • Line Item 9 (1st Floor FACP Power Closeout & CAT5 Head Makeup): FACP power closeout with Hugh & Cry is underway, but CAT5 head makeup remains incomplete. Terminations will be completed using RJ45 / CJ45 pass-through connectors and a crimper, followed by line testing.
  • Line Item 10 (Pool Lights): Completed. Reuse of existing pool niches has been verified and fully resolved.

Line Items 11 to 15: Pool Equipment, Panel Salvage, and Water Heaters

  • Line Item 11 (Pool Panel P1 Salvage): In progress. Rather than purchasing a full replacement panel, Panel P1 is being salvaged by removing components, straightening and hammering brackets flat, and flipping damaged busing plastic to utilize the undamaged side. Coordination with Joe is ongoing.
  • Line Item 12 (Pool Electrical Room - Pool Can Gut & P1 Interior Order): Tied directly to Line Item 11. The existing pool can gut will be retained, and only the P1 panel interior will be ordered.
  • Line Item 13 (Conduit and Wire Reroute to Building): Completed. Wiring is pulled back to the main building. Remaining task involves installing an underground conduit from the existing Christie box to the generator gutter.
  • Line Item 14 (Pool Sterilizer Electrical Connection): Removed from scope. The pool contractor installed pumps and equipment; written confirmation from Joe confirmed that supplying breakers and electrical connections for the sterilizer is not within the electrical scope.
  • Line Item 15 (Water Heater Room Equipment Orientation): Incomplete. Waiting on VCC to orient the water heaters. A comprehensive material list for the water heater installation will be compiled and submitted.

Line Items 16 to 22: Permits, Enclosures, Trellis, and Signage

  • Line Item 16 (Crystal Box, Clamps, and Permits): Mounted but not terminated. Work is delayed due to receiving incorrect clamp sizes (3.5inch3.5\,\text{inch} clamps were supplied instead of the required 4inch4\,\text{inch} clamps) and an unfulfilled crimper tool request. Wall penetration is blocked pending VCC's payment of city permit fees for recent plan corrections (11 to 22 days expected for approval). Extra figures for the crystal box require completion.
  • Line Item 17 (Work Access Restrictions): Incomplete. Personnel cannot work in this area until city permit corrections are finalized by VCC.
  • Line Item 18 (Monument Signage): Pending VCC progress. Electrical conduits are stubbed up at the original plan locations, but VCC has not yet constructed the footing or foundation for the sign.
  • Line Item 19 (Body Control Panel & Photocell): Incomplete. Access to the electrical room is blocked pending VCC clearance.
  • Line Item 20 (InstaHot Power & Enclosure Specifications): The InstaHot unit is set. Plumbers/VCC requested a 3-hour3\text{-hour} fire-rated enclosure, which is the plumbing contractor's responsibility. On the electrical scope, number 44 crimps were too large for the switch terminal and must be replaced with number 66 crimps. An extension box with a bubble cover is required due to insufficient box depth for the large conductors.
  • Line Item 21 (RFI Status): Incomplete. Awaiting formal RFI response.
  • Line Item 22 (Pool Trellis Lighting): Scheduled for installation this week. Scope of work is strictly limited to lighting on the poolside and excludes the parking lot side.

Line Items 23 to 29: Fire Alarm, Elevators, and Specialized Lighting

  • Line Item 23 (FACP & AC Power Scope): Completed.
  • Line Item 24 (Guest Rooms Fire Alarm & Carbon Monoxide Scope): Pending written confirmation from Joe Mack. Hugh & Cry is assigned to smoke detector installation ("smokies"), while line-voltage carbon monoxide detector installation is assigned to the electrical scope.
  • Line Item 25 (West Elevation Sump Pump Control & Monitoring): Completed.
  • Line Item 26 (Pool Bathroom & Pool Electrical Room Astronomical Clock): In progress. Swapped out the single-phase astronomical clock for a dual-phase astronomical clock; wiring completion is scheduled for tomorrow.
  • Line Item 27 (Elevators 1 & 2 Feeders, Shunt Trip, and Heaters): Main elevator feeders are fully terminated, and labels/identifications are installed. Electrical scope requires terminating the shunt trip on the disconnect side (elevator contractors terminate load side into elevator gear) and supplying GFCI receptacle power. Thermostat controls on elevator unit heaters require verification and may need stack-on crimp connectors (fork, loop, or curl types) to attach to terminal tabs.
  • Line Item 28 (Common Area Track Lighting): In progress. Fixture procurement status and material handoff require verification with Joe.
  • Line Item 29 (Self-Illumination Pool Fixtures): Completed. Installed 33 black up-down light fixtures above pool doors (upper units illuminate upward above the rim joist; lower units illuminate downward directly at the doors).

Line Items 30 to 34: Breakers, Panel Repairs, Veneer, and Staircases

  • Line Item 30 (Missing 75 Amp 3-Pole Breaker): Project specifications require 22 total 75A75\,\text{A} three-pole breakers, but only 11 unit is present on site (received from Chase). Purchase orders and serial numbers are being audited to verify whether the supplier shipped only a single unit.
  • Line Item 31 (EP Panel H1 / H1 AMSB & Grounding Bars): Completed. Approved direction received and final 22 grounding bars were fixed.
  • Line Item 32 (Pool Patio Stone Veneer & Gate Power): Underground rough-in complete, including rough-in power for 22 additional exit signs and gate location. Final EMT run and ring-type connections are pending gate installation.
  • Line Item 33 (Staircase Lighting & Emergency Bug Eyes): Incomplete. Installation is blocked pending wall painting. Painting crew of 66 to 1010 painters is working across floors, but they are not on site daily.
  • Line Item 34 (Panels A, B, and C Breakers): Swapped out, but short 77 breakers total (66 omitted/unaccounted for from initial count, and 11 damaged/defective breaker that fails to reset). Order for replacement and missing breakers to be submitted tomorrow.

Additional Scope and Tracking Items

  • Generator Feeders: Located on the 1st Floor. Specifications must be resolved to finalize wire ordering and pulling.
  • P Panel Tail Replacement: Located in the Pool Room on the 1st Floor. Tail was severed and temporarily spliced; complete wire pull replacement is required once room access is granted.
  • ATS Refeed from MSB: Located in the Medical Electrical Room on the 1st Floor, directly across from the MSB.
    • Requires installation of a 150A150\,\text{A} breaker in the MSB and a 4-wire4\text{-wire} set of 2/02/0 conductors.
    • Conduit must run up and over across the room to connect the MSB to the ATS.
    • Pending formal confirmation with Joe regarding the breaker order.
