A Night at the Movies
A Night at the Movies
On a crisp autumn evening, a group of friends—Max, Lily, Ethan, and Sofia—decided to catch the latest horror movie at the old Silver Screen Theater, rumored to be haunted. As they approached the entrance, the flickering neon lights cast eerie shadows, making the building look even more foreboding. With the faint sound of a violin playing in the background, they shrugged off their fears, excited about spending a night filled with thrills and popcorn.
As they settled into their plush seats, the theater was enveloped by darkness, the only light coming from the massive screen. The familiar previews rolled, and the excitement in the air grew palpable, until a sudden power outage plunged them into complete blackness. A chill swept through the room, and when the lights flickered back on, everything seemed the same—except for one thing: their friend Ethan was missing.
"Where did he go?" Lily whispered, anxiety creeping into her voice as she scanned the theater. Max shrugged, feeling uneasy while Sofia tried to convince them it was just a prank. They decided to check the restroom first. But as they made their way through the narrow, dimly lit hallways, they heard faint whispers that sent shivers down their spines. It sounded like someone was calling Ethan’s name.
Just then, they stumbled upon a locked door at the end of the hallway, adorned with peeling paint and a rusty handle. Ignoring their better judgment, Max turned the doorknob, and to their surprise, it creaked open, revealing a dusty room filled with old movie props. At the center of the room, a projector whirred to life, casting ghostly images of past films on the walls. Suddenly, from the darkness behind the screen, Ethan emerged, his face pale and wide-eyed.
"Guys! You won’t believe what I saw!" he exclaimed, trembling with excitement and fear. "There’s a ghost! It was watching the old films, asking for help… I think it’s trapped here!" Just as he finished speaking, the lights flickered again, and the whispers grew louder, echoing around them. The friends exchanged terrified glances, realizing that the adventure they had signed up for was about to take a chilling turn.
