Limiting Reactants
- Reactions stop when all of one of the reactants is used up
- A reactant that is used up is called a limiting reactant (because it limits the amount of product that has formed)
Calculating the amount of product from the limiting reactant:
- Balance equation
- Work out Mr'
- Work out moles
- Use the balanced equation to work out how many moles the other substance has
- Use number of moles to calculate mass
