DAP Interview Overview
- Three rounds: DAP 1, DAP 2, DAP 3
- DAP 1: large group (≈ 50–70 people); only Posse staff present; focuses on teamwork activities
- DAP 2: small group / individual; deeper discussion of online application; college reps not yet present
- DAP 3: medium group (≈ 20–25 people); Posse staff and college admissions officers attend; similar collaborative tasks followed by brief networking
Timeline (NY Cohort – Approx.)
- DAP 1: mid- to late August / early September
- Decision for DAP 2: ~2 weeks after DAP 1 (late September–October)
- DAP 2: late September–October
- Decision for DAP 3: ~2 weeks after DAP 2 (early November)
- DAP 3: late November–early December
- Scholarship decision: within 1 week of DAP 3
Interview Structure & Tips
- Dress code: business casual / professional
- Key evaluation points: collaboration, engagement, clarity, authenticity
- Quality over quantity: concise, meaningful contributions valued more than dominating talk-time
- Introverts acceptable—show active listening & team facilitation
- For DAP 2: know why you ranked each school; prepare to discuss application details
College Matching & Application
- Matching occurs after DAP 2; applicants submit Early Decision (ED) to matched school (deadline ≈ November 15)
- Only 11 partner schools available for Posse New York; cannot use scholarship at non-partner institutions
- STEM-specific Posses: currently Brandeis & UW-Madison (must intend STEM major); Babson strictly business
- Double majors allowed (e.g., STEM + music) once on campus
Financial Aid Considerations
- Posse covers full tuition only
- Room, board, fees, travel = student responsibility (seek additional aid/scholarships)
- Matched school may offer need-based aid to supplement, but not guaranteed
