Apprehension
Article 7 (b) UCMJ - any person authorized under regulations, governing the armed forces to apprehend persons subject to this chapter or to trial their under may do so upon reasonable belief that in offense has been committed, and that the person has committed the crime.
When apprehending make sure to be: Polite, courteous, and firm.
For basic steps: Apprehend handcuff search transport.
When Transporting - notify the dispatcher of the location number and of suspects, name and description of the occupant, departure, time, destination, arrival time and odometer readings.
On base-Civilians may be detained for offenses committed on military installations were probable cause exist. Detain surveillance ultimately will be turned over to local civilian authorities having jurisdiction.
When apprehending - must have probable cause that the person has committed an offense.
