1) Presentations anxiety: ways to control it

  • Talk yourself out of negative

  • Identify your fear

  • Replace your fear with positive thoughts

  • Share your thoughts to people you trust the most . [exp: friend , parents and lecturer ]

  • Always remind yourself that its okay to make mistake bcs we learn from it to be better

2) take advantage of small occasions to speak up.

  • Ask question in classrooms so you not being left out .

  • Give explanation to a group of people even it’s was something random .

  • Voluntarily yourself to give the order In restaurants to boost your confidence. ( even this look simple )

    3) plan & prepared

  • No matter how short your speech is . It must be organised

  • State your intention to the audience

  • Tell them your objectives, explain and implicitly and go to that point

  • Make data visual ( this can be so much helpful for audiences) , unless you’re giving away notes or handouts .

  • Do not torture your audience with long speech. ( ppl hate long talk with only facts so make it shorter bcs more effective and easier to recall.)

  • Instead be brief and informative. Nobody can stand listening ta a speech for a long time.

4) use audio and visual aids .

  • use up extra time to prepare for audio and visual aids if you’re to nervous

  • The trick will divert audiences attention and help you relax from nervousness.

5) practice!

  • A 5 minutes presentation can take up to 30 hours of preparation. [ creating and editing, slides ,handouts and notes . Finding the suitable examples for your point is the most difficult part ]

  • Practice giving speech in front of peers , family or mirror will help your confidence.

  • The practice will as well help a speaker to feel more comfortable when facing the real audiences.

    6) Breeth deeply & slowly.

  • it’s the oldest techniques to relieving stress

  • Peoples who often give speeches sometimes get cold feet before talking to audiences too.
