The leader of the Federalist Party was Hamilton and he was Washington’s secretary of treasury. The leader of the republican water was Jefferson and he was the third president of the U.S.

Hamilton fixed it by taking many different steps to fix the economic problems. The steps were the assumption of state debts, the creation of a national bank, the promotion of industry and commerce, establishing a system of public credit, excise taxes, and lastly the debt repayment and funding at par.
