Dog Drying Checklist
Towel Drying
- Towel dry the dog very well.
- Aim to remove approximately 60% of the moisture from the dog's coat.
High Velocity Dryer
- Use a high velocity dryer to blast the dog until it is about 95% dry.
- Ensure to cover all areas of the dog's body during this process.
- Caution: Do not hold the dryer in one area for too long, as it can heat up the skin and potentially cause discomfort or burns.
Final Drying
- Finish drying the dog using either the high velocity dryer or a stand dryer to ensure that the dog is thoroughly dried.
Brushing
- Use the line brushing method to brush the dog.
- Start brushing from the feet and work your way up the body.
Removing Knots and Tangles
- After brushing, use a comb to remove all knots and tangles from the dog's coat.
- Continue working from the feet upwards while combing.
