Dog Drying Checklist

Dog Drying Checklist

  • Towel Drying

    • Towel dry the dog very well.
    • Aim to remove approximately 60% of the moisture from the dog's coat.
  • High Velocity Dryer

    • Use a high velocity dryer to blast the dog until it is about 95% dry.
    • Ensure to cover all areas of the dog's body during this process.
    • Caution: Do not hold the dryer in one area for too long, as it can heat up the skin and potentially cause discomfort or burns.
  • Final Drying

    • Finish drying the dog using either the high velocity dryer or a stand dryer to ensure that the dog is thoroughly dried.
  • Brushing

    • Use the line brushing method to brush the dog.
    • Start brushing from the feet and work your way up the body.
  • Removing Knots and Tangles

    • After brushing, use a comb to remove all knots and tangles from the dog's coat.
    • Continue working from the feet upwards while combing.
