Movement
Hip stability:
Within the hips there is a vacuum to support hip stability.
It has a seal to control the joint capsule compartment and substances within
Negative pressure accts as a suction cup to improve stability which is further supported by the labrum
Scapulothoracic joint stability- Because the scapulothoracic join is a floating joint, it solely relies on neuromuscular control( adequate strength and control of the stabiliser muscles, as well as a healthy sense of musclular timing)
Kinetic Chain- Joint movements that work together to cause and overall movemet. Such as during a squat the posterior chain work together to perform the movement.
Mechanical efficiency- the body moves efficiently and will nary not to use excessive energy to complete a movement, this can be important for longer duration of sports and events.
