Class Schedule and Logistics

  • Class Start Time and Location: The class begins at 6:00 AM.

  • Module Wrap-Up: The class will focus on completing the module on groups and teams.

  • Project Time: A significant portion of tomorrow’s class is dedicated to working on ongoing projects.

Upcoming Test Details

  • Test Availability: The test will open from midnight on November 20 until 11:59 PM on November 21.

    • Advice Against Last-Minute Testing: Students should not wait until midnight to begin the test, as their performance may suffer.

  • Timing: Students have 24 hours to complete the test.

  • Individual Codes: Each student will receive a unique test code via email from Angie Moran.

    • Non-Disclosure: Students must not share their individual codes.

  • Test Structure:

    • The test consists of 130 questions.

    • It is designed to be completed in approximately two hours.

    • Accommodations: Students with time and a half accommodations will receive extended time for the exam as well.

    • Single Sitting Requirement: The test must be completed in one continuous sitting with no ability to pause.

  • Testing Environment: Although the test is not proctored, students are advised not to look up answers during the exam.

Expected Performance and Purpose of the Test

  • Simulated Testing Experience: This test simulates a real testing environment that aids in identifying students' strengths and weaknesses in their knowledge.

  • No Study Required: Students should not study specifically for this test; it serves as a baseline for their current level of understanding.

  • Performance Expectations:

    • Anticipated average scores range between 50%-60%.

    • It is common for scores to be below 70%.

    • The results will be immediate and provide feedback on performance in different areas.

  • Feedback Categories:

    • The results will indicate performance in various domains such as:

      • Visual system: 80% correct

      • Human development: 40% correct

      • Assessment: satisfactory

      • Intervention and treatment: may require improvement

  • Cumulative Preparation: This test marks the beginning of ongoing preparation leading to graduation.

Self-Care and Wellbeing

  • Mental Health Focus: Students are reminded to prioritize mental health and self-care during this challenging time before the Thanksgiving break.

  • Physical Activity Encouragement: Engaging in physical activities such as walking the dog is encouraged for overall wellness.

  • Thanksgiving Break: There will be no class sessions or new materials introduced during the week of Thanksgiving, allowing students to rejuvenate.

  • Post-Break Schedule: After Thanksgiving, students will return to class for two more weeks before the end of the semester.
