Creating Periods and Days for Scheduling

Periods for ECE and Elementary

• For Early Childhood Education (ECE) and elementary scheduling, the existing period setup is generally adequate.
• The system already has periods named one to nine.
• These periods are numerically named and abbreviated from one to nine (e.g., period 1, period 2, etc.).
• No updates or changes are typically needed in this section for scheduling purposes in ECE and elementary.

Naming Days of the Week

• Instead of using letter designations (a, b, c, d, e) for days, the system should be updated to reflect actual days of the week.
• Days should be named: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Abbreviations for Days

• Corresponding abbreviations should be provided for each day:
  • Monday: Mon
  • Tuesday: Tue
  • Wednesday: Wed
  • Thursday: Thu
  • Friday: Fri

Submitting Changes

• After naming the days and providing abbreviations, click the submit button to save the changes.
• This updates the scheduling system to use the new day designations.
