• Priest picks one loaf to be consecrated from loafs baked by congregation.

This is all done to recreate heaven on earth. Happens between a screen, representing the divide between heaven and earth. Candles and incense helps people feel gods presence.

Liturgy of word

• On Sunday three readings from the Bible

• People say prayers for the world.

Liturgy of the Eucharist

• Offerings of bread and wine brought to alter and prayer is said using Jesus’s words at last supper.

• People say the Lords prayer.

Jesus himself acting through the Eucharist, and supplies all the graces they derive from it. Mass is a celebration of this sacrifice. It is the active participation of all that come together in the place of worship

• Hymn and prayer.

• Bible readings and sermon

• Open table so that anyone may receive bread and wine.

• Some places may bread the bread as it is passed and others may have already broken it.

 A reminder of Jesus’ words and actions. The bread and wine symbolize the sacrifice and allows them to reflect on the meaning of his sacrifice.
