De is used as the possesive noun in spanish and is important for indicating ownership or relationships between nouns.
Ex. The CD is Juan’s

● My parents live in Virginia.
● It’s her brother.
● Her friend is my friend.
In Spanish, must match number (singular/plural) and in nuestro/vuestro gender as well
(nuestro/nuestra/nuestros/nuestras or vuestro/vuestra/vuestros/vuestras)
Gender ending depends on the nous it’s describing
● Verbs that:
○ Are unconjugated
○ Indicate no time
○ Indicate no person
● In Spanish, they are identified as verbs ending in:
○ -ar
○ -er
○ -ir
● Example: hablar (to speak)
○ Stem: habl
○ Ending: ar
2 verbs together that are dependent on
each other:
○ conjugate 1st verb
○ leave 2nd as infinitive
○ Él necesita viajar mucho.
● When using a conjunction & 2 verbs or
listing actions, conjugate all the verbs
○ Yo estudio en la universidad y
trabajo en un restaurante
○ Édgar nada, esquía y practica el
