wave length is measured by: crest to crest or troft to troft
detructive wave colide and: the waves cancel out
constuctive waves colide and: both waves equal to a bigger wave
shorter wavelength = higher frequency
transverse waves: the virbration is perpendicular to the direction of the wave (water, electromagnetic)
longitudinal waves: the vibration is in the same direction as the wave is traveling (sound)
meduim: what the wave is traveling through
