Reflex Arc
The sensory, or afferent, neurons, when stimulated, send a signal from the tissue to the brain and spinal cord. Motor, or efferent, neurons send these signals to muscle cells that contract or gland cells thats secrete. Interneurons transfer these signals between motor and sensory neurons.
When light enters through the eye, it first moves through the cornea, bending the light, before moving through the muscular iris to the pupil. The light then moves the lens, which bends the light again to hit the rods and cones in the eyes.
