Assessment Policy Rules
Notification Handout Responsibility:
If a student is absent on the day an Assessment Task Notification is issued, it is the student's responsibility to obtain a copy.
Absence on the date of issuance does not entitle the student to an extension, barring exceptional circumstances.
Task Execution & Submission Rules:
In-Class Tasks: Must be completed during the scheduled timetabled lesson/allocated time slot on the specified due date.
Hand-In Tasks: Must be submitted by on the due date.
Late Submission Penalty: Submissions made after the due date incur a penalty of per day late.
Extensions & Illness/Misadventure: If a student has a genuine reason for missing or late submission, they must consult the Head Teacher of the faculty to negotiate a resolution.
Non-Serious Attempt Conditions ( Mark Allocation):
Unexcused absence from an assessment task, examination, or test.
Submitting an assessment task more than late.
Failure to submit an assessment task or sit an examination/test.
Engagement in academic malpractice, including plagiarism or collusion.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy
General Restriction: The use of AI tools (such as ChatGPT, EduChat, Grammarly, or similar software) is strictly prohibited unless explicitly granted in writing within the assessment task notification.
Prohibited Actions: Students cannot use AI to generate, modify, or assist in completing assessment tasks without prior written authorization.
Requirements When AI Use Is Explicitly Permitted:
Students must submit full written transcripts and generated outputs alongside their assessment as evidence.
All utilized AI tools must be formally referenced and cited in a bibliography.
