1. Well-closed container

• Protects contents from loss or solids

2. Tight container

• Protects contents from contamination by liquids, solids, or vapors

3. Hermetic container

• Impervious to air or other gases

4. Single-dose container

• Holds a quantity of drug that cannot be resealed after opening

5. Sterile hermetic container

• Used to hold preparations for injection or parenteral administration
