A. Grammar
Be familiar with grammar topics covered this year. You should be able to complete exercises relating to these topics as well as be able to apply these areas to your own writing. Review any notes and handouts.
B. Vocabulary/Spelling
Know the meaning (including synonyms) and correct spelling of the
vocabulary words studied in class this term.
Know the commonly misspelled words reviewed in class.
C. Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet
Content Questions on the Play.
These are questions relating to plot and characters. They may take the form of true/false, multiple choice, and/or short answerLiterary Analysis Question on the Play
You will be asked to write about one of the main characters or explain a theme in the play.
D. Poetry
Poetry Definitions and Poems Studied in Class
Be familiar with all handouts and notes on poetry and the poems studied in class. Be able to define and identify different poetry terms.Sight Poems
There will be multiple choice and/or short answer questions on sight poems. There will also be one literary analysis question on sight poems.
