Comparing Adjectives and Adverbs

• Use construction: (TAN + (ADJECTIVE / ADVERB) + COMO)
  • Example for Adjective:
  • Mi perro es tan viejo como mi gato.
    • (My dog is as old as my cat.)
  • Example for Adverb:
  • Elisa juega al tenis casi tan bien como su hermano.
    • (Elisa plays tennis almost as well as her brother.)

Expressing Quantity with Verbs

• To express 'as much as' with verbs, use: (TANTO + COMO)
  • Example:
  • Yo estudio tanto como tú.
    • (I study as much as you do.)
