Terminology (Tooth geography)
Distal —> Surface away from the face’s midline.
Mesial —> Surface closest to the midline of the face.
Facial —> Surface facing the cheeks or lips. Outward facing.
Labial —> Towards the lips
Buccal —> Towards the cheeks
Lingual —> Surface facing the tongue.
Incisal —> Biting edge of an anterior tooth.
Occlusal —> Chewing surface of posterior teeth.
Proximal —> Adjacent tooth surfaces.
