Out of The Silent Planet
Chapter 1
Summary: In the beginning we can see a man, “the pedestrian”, in search after a thunderstorm for a place to stay. After walking a bit he meets “the woman” ands asks her if there was anywhere he could stay. She replied with a no except maybe the Rise. She then told him about how the people there were keeping Harry’s past his time and ransom promised to go and get him. Ransom left for the Rise, after a while he came upon a gate and follow an unused path to the front door and sat there for a while. Then after a while he heard the sounds of a struggle between three men. Throwing down his pack he sprinted towards the commotion. Finding Harry he breaks up the fight. He meets Devine and Weston as well.

Chapter 2
Summary: After Devine gets Ransom a glass of water, Ransom begins to get very confused and sleepy. He falls asleep and has very foggy recollection of climbing over a wall and then seemingly awakens from his daze in an armchair in an unfamiliar room. Ransom overhears that Devine and Weston would have rather have taken the boy(Harry) rather than Ransom. We also learn that Devine and Weston have some sort of sinister plan for Ransom.

Ransom: Loses consciousness, wakes up, fights, gets knocked out
Devine: Convinces Weston why Ransom is a better candidate than Harry

Chapter 3
Summary: Ransom wakes up in a bed in an unfamiliar room with a massive headache. Figures out he is in some spacecraft.

Ransom: wakes up distressed in a random spaceship
Chapter 4
Summary: Weston brings Ransom out of his room and feeds him food while explaining about the ship

Chapter 5
Summary: Ransom spend time in the kitchens, one day when cleaning up he hears the other two talking about human sacrifice

Summary: they begin to descend to malacandra and fell the effects of a new center of gravity.
Chapter 7
Summary: they land and work for a while then take lunch, it is then that they finally glimpse the sorns. Ransom runs for it.
Chapter 8
Summary: Ransom continues on by himself before coming to rest at a riverbank.
Chapter 9
Summary: Ransom continue walking in a dazed state until he met another creature and learned its name.
Chapter 10
Summary: him and the hross go to a boat and over water and to a camp where people ate and drank and came and went.
Chapter 11
Summary: Ransom and the hokra continue on their journey. Ransom learns more but th explainer and their language.
Chapter 12
Summary: Hross and Ransom have a conversation. About war, love, and the eldil.
Chapter 13
Summary: Ransom, Hyoi, and Whin get onto the boat have an interaction with an Eldil and then meet th water monster. Once they have reached the shore again a rifle shot is fired from the forest and Hyoi dies. After a conversation WHin an Ransom decide that whin should go to the forest.
Chapter 14
Summary: Ransom makes his lonely journey to the peaks. He ventures into a cave and meets a sorn.
Chapter 15
Summary: Ransom meets Aubrey and they talk about Oyarsa.
Chapter 16
Summary: the Sorn and Ransom journey and make camp and have lots f conversations about life on earth.
Chapter 17
Summary: Ransom end his journey with Sorn and meets another Hross. After this he meets a Pfifler and get sculpted.
Chapter 18
Summary: Ransom meets has a conversation with Oyarsa that is interrupted by Hross that are carrying something.
Chapter 19
Summary: Weston and Devine are stupid.
Chapter 20
Summary: Weston talks and ransom translated.
Chapter 21
Summary: after talking with Oyarsa ransom, Weston, and Devine go back to earth.
