Mechanical Control
All machines, however basic or complex, are made up of simple mechanisms. A mechanism is simply a device which takes an input motion and force, and changes it into an output motion and force. The point of a mechanism is to make the job easier to do. the mechanisms most commonly used in mechanical systems are levers linkages ,cams ,gears, and pulleys.
INPUT MOTION AND FORCE»»»» MECHANISM»»»»OUTPUT MOTION AND FORCE»»»»
LINEAR MOTION —> Motion in a straight line (E.G. guillotine)
ROTARY MOTION—>Rotary motion is a motion in a circle (E.G. wheels ,windmill)
OSCILLATING MOTION—>Motion backwards and forwards in an arc shape (E.G. a swing)
RECIPROCATING MOTION—>Motion back and forth ina straight line (E.G. a sewing machine needle ,saw)
