Exodus 11
Short chapter!
God tells Moses that he will bring one more plague. And after it, the pharaoh will just let them all go. God tells Moses to warn the people to borrow the jewels and clothes as described in Exodus 3.
God says he will go out into Egypt at midnight and every Egyptian firstborn will die. From that of the pharaoh, to the maidservant’s, to the cattle. And this will cause the greatest cry Egypt has ever seen. And the Israelites will be spared from it so obviously that the Egyptians will see it.
This will cause the Egyptians to bow to God and usher the Jews out. Moses tells all this to the pharaoh even angrily. But God tells Moses the pharaoh will not listen so God will be able to show Egypt his power. God hardens the pharaoh’s heart yet again.
