  • when factoring

    -”reals”= simplest form (no i’s)

    -anything else is normal (includes irrational #’s)

  • When doing synthetic division, remember that when you divide, use the opposite term

    -ex: 3 opposite is -3

  • when solving quadratic inequalities

    • greater/less than & equal to = closed cirlce

    • greater/less than but not equal to= open circle

    • make sure to get one side of inequality =0, then you can factor it out to solve for zeroes
