INTERPRETATION OF CORRELATIONS

→ A correlation coefficient is a number between 0 and 1 that tells us the strength and direction between the two variables

→ A value of +1 represents a perfect positive correlation, and a value of -1 represents a perfect negative correlation

→ The closer the coefficient is to -1 or +1 , the stronger the relationship. The closer the coefficient is to 0, the weaker the relationship

→ The sign just tells us the direction (positive or negative)
