Las redes sociales – social media (note: plural in Spanish, so verbs and adjectives will be plural)

son seguras – is secure [literally "are"]

son fáciles de usar – is easy to use [literally "are"]

son buenas para + infinitive – is [literally "are"] good for...

Muchas aplicaciones no son muy privadas – lots of apps aren't very private

Lo bueno / lo malo es que… – the good thing / the bad thing is that...

causan acoso – they cause bullying

causan problemas para dormir – they cause sleeping problems

son una gran distracción – they are a big distraction

una pérdida de tiempo – a waste of time

sentimientos negativos – bad/negative feelings
