Study Materials and Guidelines

  • Students must use the PINK PACKET distributed at the semester's start. If lost, there will be no access to notes for this exam section.

  • All packets are to be turned in on Monday, 12/15; students should ensure they have their materials with them as exams are to be locked afterward.

Writing Guidelines for CEC Paragraphs

  • Writing Instructions:

    • Answers to be written on the lined pages in the exam booklet

    • Emphasis on neatness and legibility, including correct spelling and grammar

  • For this section:

    • You will write using The Quote Sandwich method

    • Complete one (1) CEC paragraph based on TWO released AP Lit Free Response prompts concerning Macbeth

  • Prior to finals, prompt practice will be conducted, including:

    • Annotation of prompts

    • Writing CLMs (Claim, Evidence, Analysis)

    • Identifying EV (Meat & Veggies) for each prompt

Vocabulary Portion (30 questions)

  • Recognition and understanding of both denotation (dictionary definition) and connotation (contextual usage in sentences) of terms from Level E Units 4-6 of Sadlier Vocab.
