Book Selection for Assignment
Instructions: Choose any book, provided it is not a textbook for another class.
Examples of acceptable genres:
Murder mystery
Biography
True crime
Graphic novel
Submission Details
Frequency: Every Thursday, with specific exceptions:
Not during the week of spring break
Not during the last week of class
Total of 12 submissions required
Formatting Requirements:
Printed out on one page
Double-spaced
Font: Times New Roman, size 12
Initialing and Collection:
Each submission must be initialed by the instructor.
Students must keep all submissions until the end of the semester.
On the last day of class:
Staple all submissions together.
Submit them in a pile.
Grading Criteria
Assignment Weight: Total of 200 points available for the entire assignment.
All or Nothing Assessment:
If one submission is missed (e.g., not submitted by the fourth week), the total score becomes 0 points out of 200.
Purpose: Acts as an accountability measure to ensure consistent reading and writing practice.
