Second, students can log into the Populi platform, navigate to the conferences tab, and select "Join Conference" for the specific course, such as HCE 120: Anatomy & Physiology/Medical Terminology. Academic Expectations and Professional Conduct
Online course lectures must be treated with the same level of decorum as on-campus attendance. Student engagement with peers and instructors is mandatory. To facilitate this, every student is required to have a functioning camera and microphone. Cameras must remain turned on and the student must be visible throughout the entire lecture. It is strictly prohibited for students to join a class while driving or riding in a vehicle. Furthermore, account security is critical; no third party may log into a student account to attend classes, complete coursework, or take examinations on the student's behalf.
Professionalism extends to online etiquette and environment. Students are expected to join from a quiet, suitable location and minimize distractions such as barking dogs, television sounds, or conversations with family members. Courteous and respectful behavior is required at all times, and the use of profanity or socially offensive language in any communication medium—emails, discussion posts, or group projects—is forbidden. Visual standards require students to dress modestly, cleanly, and professionally. Inappropriate background images or settings are prohibited, and students must remain in a professional posture, meaning they may not participate in class while lying in bed or on a couch.
Attendance, Tardiness, and Absence Policies
Attendance is verified at the start of class and periodically throughout the session. There is a 10-minute grace period at the beginning of class, but students are otherwise expected to be present for the full duration of the lecture. Tardiness is defined as failing to report on time or leaving early even if the student eventually returns. A tardy exceeding fifteen minutes is equivalent to a one-hour absence, and a total of three tardies is calculated as one full absence. If a student spends less than 50% of the scheduled hours in a class or clinical session, they are marked absent for the day.
Absences may be excused if the student notifies the instructor in advance or within one day of the missed lecture and provides supporting documentation. Excused absences are capped at 10% of the total course hours. If a student misses a single class beyond the excused limit, they may be eligible for a make-up. Eligibility for a make-up requires documentation, a meeting with an administrator, and the completion of specific tasks: watching the recorded lecture and submitting a one-page summary to both the instructor and administration.

Medical terminology for body regions is categorized by difficulty. Level 1 (Easy) includes terms such as Abdominal, Dorsal, Facial, Frontal, Nasal, Oral, Pelvis, and Thoracic. Level 2 (Intermediate) includes Cranial, Gluteal, Inguinal, Lumbar, Mammary, Orbital, Palmar, and Umbilical.
