1926: Phi Chi Theta was incorporated in the state of New York
1954: Efficiency Rating Program was introduced, trophy given to the chapter with the highest efficiency rating. The New York Beta chapter was the first collegiate chapter to be awarded this.
1958: Chapters were divided into six districts. Although districts are no longer used, the practice of using regions is still in place.
1962: Changed from only business administration majors to all business/economics majors. Thus, Phi Chi Theta became the first professional fraternity for women to enter the field of economics
By 1962, Phi Chi Theta had 51 collegiate chapters and 16 alumni chapters
On October 11, 1963, the White House invited our fraternity leaders to a reception to participate in a Report of the President’s Commission on the Status of Women
In 1973, Phi Chi Theta merged with Epsilon Eta Phi
In 1976, Phi Chi went coed, starting accepting males into the fraternity
In 1982, the Executive Policy Board was formed, it oversees day-to-day activities
In 1989, established a scholarship fund and alumni achievement fund. The funds honor the last founding member, Anna E. Hall, who passed away in January 18, 1988
Also in 1989, the Alumni Hall of Fame was established. First inductees included all past National Presidents, Founders and Charter Members, and past Executive Director
In 1992, Phi Chi Theta added the Helen D. Snow Scholarship to be awarded
