Galatians 5

  1. Paul tells them to stand fast in and steady in the path Christ has shown, rather than returning to bondage.

  2. If we use only the Law as the only manner of following God, we have lost Christ

    1. If a man were to get circumcised right now, it’d be no profit to him

    2. Seeking justification from the law causes a fall from grace

    3. Those seeking righteousness from the Spirit achieve it through faith

    4. Faith that works through love

  3. The Galatians had a good start with their faith

    1. But they were swayed by someone other than Jesus

    2. A little leaven causes the whole loaf to rise

    3. A little corruption/persuasion causes the whole church to fall

    4. Paul says he has faith in them and the Lord that they will get right

    5. But none in the ones who drew them away and they will bear judgment
